Print on Blackback Material

Blackback is a polyester fabric that blocks light. As the name suggests, the material has a black blockout backing, ensuring that your print remains perfectly visible. The front side has a matte, fine structure and a natural appearance.

Blackback Soft and XL

There are two different types of Blackback: Soft and XL. Due to the printing technique, the inks used for Blackback Soft are odorless, and this material can be easily and affordably shipped because it is foldable. Blackback Soft has a maximum print width of 310 cm in one piece and weighs 260 grams/m².

If you need a large-format fabric, Blackback XL is the best option. This material is slightly lighter than Blackback Soft. With a maximum print width of 498 cm in one piece, you can use this fabric for a wide range of applications. Blackback XL weighs 210 grams/m².

Most Common Applications

Blackback is primarily used for indoor applications. The material is fire-retardant, making it suitable for public spaces.

This type of fabric is commonly used for trade shows. Think of applications like tension fabric displays, textile frames, and banners.

Combining with Textile Frames

Blackback material is often used in textile frames as a tension fabric with stabilizers. The blockout effect ensures that the stabilizers remain hidden. You can also use this fabric in lightboxes when you need to block light from one side. It pairs well with Samba backlit material.

Easy Installation

Mounting blockout tension fabrics is straightforward. Use the special plastic e-lock tool for this purpose. With this handy tool, you can quickly secure the fabric in the frame, achieving a beautifully taut display.

FAQ

What is the expected lifespan of Blackback?

The material can be used for many different applications. For each application, the lifespan will be different. When used indoors, the material will last for years. However, light can affect it. The material is not suitable for outdoor use.

There are creases in my fabric, how do I get them out?

That's easy! You can iron the material on the wool setting. Blackback is heat resistant but you can put a tea towel between the two to be sure.

What is the best way to clean this fabric?

With warm water and a fiber cloth. We do not recommend cleaning agents because they may damage the ink. This material cannot be washed.

What printing technique do you use for this material?

For Blackback Soft, the sublimation printing technique is used. The big advantage of this is the odor-free, water-based inks. In addition, the inks are not fragile and you can fold the fabric. This makes it easier and more cost effective to transport.

For Blackback XL, we use the UV printing technique. The inks are hardened by a special UV lamp, making them scratch-resistant and suitable for outdoor applications.
