Positives and negatives
Printing Dibond®
Dibond®, also known as an aluminum panel, is a European-made sandwich panel with three different layers. This material is lightweight but very strong, thanks to the special combination of aluminum with a black plastic core. Available in thicknesses of 3, 4, and 6 mm, the maximum print width in a single piece is 146 x 301 cm.
Consistent base color and versatile use
Choose this panel if you’re looking for a consistent base color. Dibond® offers the perfect balance of properties and price between Dibond budget and Dibond digital.
Luxurious appearance and extra protection with coating
Opt for a coating on your panel for richer colors and extra protection. The coating protects the print for up to five years and withstands standard cleaning agents. In short, the same product with even better quality. And good news: coating is now available for double-sided panels too!
Weather-resistant panel material
Thanks to its special composition, Dibond® is weather-resistant. With a low expansion rate, it is suitable for outdoor use. While other materials may warp with high humidity, Dibond® remains stable.
Most common applications
Dibond® is most commonly used for facade signs, advertising signs, wall decorations, cut-out letters, panels, wall circles, hexagons, construction boards, displays, wayfinding signage, and in exhibition construction.
Mounting tips
Thanks to its lightweight, the material is easy to mount on facades and (flat) walls. Important to note: Dibond® may expand slightly. Therefore, we recommend drilling slightly larger holes for easier positioning and repositioning. For panels larger than 80 cm, we recommend using 2 mounting plates.
