Flag Longlife printing

Flag Longlife is a strong polyester fabric with a coarse structure. The material is slightly perforated and therefore hardly frays. It is therefore not necessary to hem this material. Thanks to the structure of the material, the flags are already clearly visible and readable at low wind speeds.

The material is weatherproof and wind permeable due to its open structure. Thus, the material can be used outdoors without being blown to pieces immediately.

Flag Longlife has a maximum print width of 306 cm in one piece. Weighing 115 grams/m2, this is a very light material.

Print visible on the back

This material is only printed on one side. Due to the structure, the print comes through on the back of the material. Approximately 90% to 95% of the print comes back on the reverse side in mirror image. This is slightly less than the print-through of Flag and Flag PET. Even with this material, your print is clearly visible on both sides.

Most common applications

Flag Longlife can be used both indoors and outdoors. It has a fire certificate and is therefore also suitable for public areas. The material is used as banner flag, beach flag, facade flag, fence banner, mast flag and corrugated flag.

The inks are not UV light resistant. Therefore, over time, the colors will fade in outdoor applications. However, this process will take longer than the life of the material, so this need not be a problem.

Different flag materials

Flag, Flag PET and Flag Longlife are three materials that are enormously similar. Flag is the basic variety and has good quality. Flag PET is similar to the basic variant in everything. The only difference is the durability of the material. In fact, this material is 100% made from recycled material. Flag Longlife does not fray as quickly due to its slightly coarser structure. As a result, hemming is not necessary and the delivery time is shorter than the other variants.

Finishing options

Flag Longlife has many finishing possibilities. The most common is a band with hooks. This is used for a mast flag. At the top of the flag there is often a tunnel, so that your flag can be seen and read properly even when there is no wind.

Another option is to add tunnels, band with d-rings, band with cord or a band with rings.

FAQ

What is the expected lifespan of Flag Longlife?

When used outdoors, this material lasts about 3-5 months. Do you want your customer to enjoy his flags as long as possible? Then make sure he brings them inside on time, especially with wind forces 6 and up. This way you reduce the chance of damage.

What is the difference between the materials Flag, Flag Longlife and Flag PET?

In general, these three are quite similar. What makes the materials unique? Flag PET is our sustainable version made from 100% recycled PET bottles. Flag Longlife does not fray as easily due to its coarse structure. Hemming is therefore not necessary. Don't care about these unique properties? Then you can go for Flag, our basic flag material with a classic hem all around.

What printing technique is used for this material?

The sublimation printing technique! We first let the inks dry thoroughly and then they are heated at a high temperature of 180 to 200 degrees. This causes the inks to be woven into the fibers of the fabric and the colors come out very beautifully. In addition, the water-based inks are odor-free.
