Kendal (Twill 210 gr./m2) is a polyester fabric in a twill or twill weave. This is a strong, yet subtle weave with a clear diagonal line and a tough look and feel. Kendal is suitable for various interior projects, such as floor-to-ceiling curtains and decorative pillows. The fine threads in the fabric provide a smooth flow and a crisp print. In addition, Kendal is easy to confection.
Combine unique prints for any interior
You create the unifying factor in a room by combining materials and allowing style elements to flow through. This is perfectly possible with Kendal. For example, use Kendal as a curtain. Curtains regulate the acoustics, keep the cold out and provide a warm pleasant atmosphere. Kendal is also suitable for decorative pillows. Because of the beautiful print quality, this fabric is also applied as a textile poster. You order Kendal already from one m² on demand with your unique prints. For your project, take about 2 cm extra on all sides, taking into account the stretch and shrinkage of the fabric. The material has a maximum print width of approximately 292 cm.
Sustainable and environmentally conscious printing
Kendal is printed on the Durst Alpha printer using a sustainable and environmentally friendly printing technique. This unique printer prints with eight water-based pigment ink colors. The pigment inks guarantee extraordinarily high lightfastness values. For example, after testing, the Kendal achieved a lightfastness value of seven on a fully printed surface. Washing out the fabric after printing is not necessary. This makes it completely water-saving and therefore sustainable. Moreover, we print on demand, so we only produce what you order. This way we do not create unnecessary stocks and the waste of material is minimal.

Does this material have a BCI certification?
No, this certificate can only be awarded to materials made from cotton. BCI stands for better cotton initiative.
Are the textiles skin-friendly?
Yes, Kendal is used as a decorative cushion, among other things. You can use this material without it causing skin irritations.
Are the inks environmentally friendly?
Yes, the inks are water-based and therefore somewhat environmentally friendlier than other inks.
What printing technique is used for this material?
Pigment ink. This printing technique uses water-based inks, which are odor-free. The inks are dried and hardened in an oven. With sublimation, the ink soaks into the fibres of the material, while this does not happen with pigment inks. This printing technique is very similar to UV printing, but is odourless.
